Polly Wiseman
Polly Wiseman is an actor and writer. She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (three year Acting Diploma) and began her writing career as a member of The Royal Court Theatre Young Writer’s programme.
Writing credits for Fireraisers: Andy & Edie: Inside Warhol’s Factory (National tour and West End); This Rough Magic (site-specific adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’) New translation of a Serbian play, The Pinball Master, (National Theatre Studio/ Birmingham Rep). She wrote and co-conceived Things That Go Bump (site-specific show at South Hill Park) with Paul Jepson, with whom she created a site-specific show in association with Manchester Library Theatre called ‘Manchester Sound: The Massacre.’
Other writing credits include: a new site-specific show, Smoke & Mirrors (Theatre Royal, Margate); co-writing Shock Tactics, with Linda Marlowe (a club project involving rock songs); a stage play Glaring Neon Twins; Bright (Soho Theatre); Trying It On (Royal Court Theatre Upstairs); Fierce: A Grotesque Burlesque’(produced at The Nightingale Theatre, Brighton; The Roxy Theatre in Edmonton, Canada and The Pump House Theatre in Calgary, Canada) Stormin’ Jack Norman (Produced in Cambridge and London by Menagerie TC, in Brighton by The Nightingale Theatre and by Northern Light Theatre in Edmonton, Canada.) As an actor, Polly has performed in many shows in the UK and abroad and she was also short-listed for The James Menzies-Kitchin young director’s award.
